Step 1: Install and activate optinmonster WordPress plugin
First, you need to install and activate optinmonster plugin on your WordPress site then create an account on optinmonster site.
Once the plugin is activated, go to your WordPress dashboard and click on optinmonster from the left side of the screen.
You will be now redirected to a new screen where you will be asked to Authorize your optinmonster account.
Click on the Authorize optinmonster button. You will now be prompted to log in to your optinmonster account using your login credentials.

Step 2: Create your content locking option
Creating your first option with optinmonster, go to the optinmonster » campaigns » create new campaign.
Next, you will have to select the campaign type you will find an option called inline. Click on it.
You can then select a template for your opt-in.
Once you select the template then you can name your campaign and select the website where you want the option to appear.
Click on the start building button, you can customize your opt-in by changing its fonts, color, etc. All customization options appear on the left side of the screen.
Now under the design tab select the inline settings option.
You will see different options on the left side of the screen. Toggle on the lock content below the campaign option.
Then, choose obfuscation from the drop-down if you want to blur your content or remove totally your content below the option.
Let’s go with the obfuscation option.
Next, you need to connect your email marketing service and figure the analytics settings.
Once done, save your changes and return to your WordPress dashboard and click on optinmonster. You have just created under campaign, click on the edit output settings link.
If not the next page, select the enable campaign on site option then click on the Save button.
Step 3: Display content locking option on your post
To display a content locking option form on your post, copy the shortcode from this field.
Shortcut from this campaign and paste it anywhere in your post or page.
You are done save changes and hit the publish button for the post to go live.
